Product Installation Guide
Warning: Always handle the processor by its edges. Avoid touching the
pins on the CPU or socket. Static electricity can damage the
processor, so use an anti-static wrist strap when handling components.
1.Prepare the Motherboard
Place the motherboard on a flat, non-conductive surface. Remove the LGA motherboard socket protective cover if present.
2.Open the Socket
Lift the socket lever to the fully open position. Then lift the loadplate to access the socket pins.
3.Align the Processor
Hold the processor by its edges and align it with the socket. The CPU has notches on both sides that match the socket. There is also a golden triangle indicator that should match the socket marking.
4.Install the Processor
Gently place the processor into the socket. Do not force it - if properly aligned, it should drop into place easily. Do not press down on the CPU.
5.Close the Socket
Close the load plate, then lower the socket lever and secure it under the retention clip. You should feel some resistance as the lever locks into place.
6.Apply Thermal Interface MaterialClean the CPU heat spreader if necessary. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of quality thermal paste to the center of the processor's heat spreader.
7.Install the Cooler
Align the cooler with the mounting brackets. For stock Intel coolers, align the push pins with the holes around the socket. Press down on each pin in a diagonal pattern until it clicks. Connect the cooler's power cable to the CPU_FAN header.
8.Install Memory
Install memory modules according to your motherboard's recommended configuration. For dual-channel, typically use slots of the same color.
9.Install Graphics Card (REQUIRED)
Install a discrete graphics card in the primary PCIe x16 slot. Secure it with the case bracket screw and connect any required power cables.Critical Note: Before powering on, ensure you have installed adiscrete graphics card. This processor has NO integrated graphics.Connect your monitor to the graphics card outputs, NOT the motherboard video ports.
